Core of the proposal
- Requires Member States to address fisheries, aquaculture, coastal communities and small-scale coastal fishing in national plans.
- Allows up to 100% aid intensity for operations related to small-scale coastal fishing.
- Bars support for serious fisheries offenders, IUU vessel involvement, and certain aquaculture-related environmental offences.
- Excludes support for non-compliant fleet subsidies, vessel transfers to third countries, and deep sea mining.
