Core of the proposal
- Allows exemptions from tachograph rules for certain electric goods vehicles up to 4.25 tonnes and non-commercial motor caravans.
- Exempts electric N2 vans between 3.5 and 4.25 tonnes from speed-limiter requirements.
- Removes specific Euro 7 low-temperature laboratory tests and reduces repeated heavy-duty engine testing.
- Repeals EU noise rules and shifts approvals to UNECE noise and acoustic-alert regulations.
