Who it affects
Armenian producers and exporters, especially small and medium-sized businesses and agricultural producers, gain easier access to the EU market. It also affects EU importers and competing producers for the covered goods.
Core of the proposal
- Suspends ad valorem duties for listed Armenian products in Annex I.
- Removes duties on eight agricultural products within tariff-rate quotas in Annex II.
- Conditions preferences on origin rules, customs cooperation, and Armenia’s trade restrictions and conduct.
- Allows temporary suspension or safeguard measures if imports harm EU markets or Armenia breaches conditions.
